SPIRIT POINTS OVERVIEW

The Spirit Point system is utilized in order to determine seating at Basketball games. The more Spirit Points you have, the better you and your friends’ seats will be at UD Arena once basketball season starts.
Spirit Points are obtained by attending varsity athletic events. Simply find the Red Scare Executive Board member and show your student ID to him or her. He or she will then swipe it with a scanner, and you’ll receive your points!
While points are not offered at all varsity athletic events, the following will generally be followed:
30 Points: Women’s Basketball
20 Points: Football and Men's Basketball
10 Points: Men and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball

Below you will find instructions on how to access a control panel provided by Ticketmaster. In this panel you’ll be able to view the games for which you’ve been awarded points, as well as sign up for ticket distributions.

To receive your password at the INITIAL log-in:
-Visit the SPS Portal by either of the methods described above
-Click the “Forgot Your Password?” link located under the Login section
-Enter your UD e-mail address in the box and click “Email Password”
-Your password will then be e-mailed to this account. HOWEVER, if you were already registered within the system, (such as through The JetWay Newsletter, etc) your password may be sent to another of your personal e-mail accounts. This account will be the default, but this setting can be changed in the Account Settings section of the home page seen after login by clicking “Edit Profile”.
-After you receive the e-mail, log-in using the password provided. Following this log-in, click “Change Password” under the Account Settings section located toward the bottom of the page, and adjust the account to your desired password.
All future log-ins will use the password you set to your account.
To check your Spirit Points:
-From the SPS Portal, under the Points Summary section, click “View Points Detail”.
-The following page will list all of the events attended, as well as the total number of points.
-Note: The date listed is not the date of the event, but the date uploaded. Please look under the SubCategory heading for the name of the event.
To register for the distribution:
One group member will need to create the group:
-Log-in to the SPS Portal
-Under the Group Ticketing section, click “Create a Group”
-At the following page, fill in the Group Name, Group Password, and Confirm Group Password boxes with your desired information.
-Check the box located next to “UDStudent”
-Note: Disregard the text that states “Group seating locations are based on seniority”, as this is obviously not the case for Red Scare distributions
-Choose the number of members that will be in your group from the drop-down box.
-Check the boxes next to the games your group will be attending (if you are attending all games for a particular distribution, check all the boxes).
-DO NOT CHECK the box located next to the statement “Assign all my tickets to this group, for the above selected events.” If you check this, other members will not be able to join your group.
-Click “Continue”
-At the following page, take note of your Group Name and Password, verify that all information is correct, and click “Create Group.”
-You will receive an e-mail from the University of Dayton confirming your creation of a group, which will include your Group Name and Password.
-After these steps are completed, the group creator must still join the group, as described below
Joining a created group
-Log-in to the SPS Portal
-Under the Group Ticketing section, click “View & Join a Group.”
-Check the box located at the center of the page and click the “Group” button
-Using the information received from your group member who initially created your group online, type in the Group Name and Group Password, and click “Continue.”
-After verifying the information on the following page, click “Join this Group.”
-You will receive an e-mail from the University of Dayton confirming that you have joined a group

-Log-in to the SPS Portal
-Under the Group Ticketing section, click “View & Join a Group.”
-At the following page, click “View/Edit”, located next to your group name in the grey box
-Listed here will be your Group Name, Group Leader, and Group Members who have already joined this group.
