Welcome to Red Scare Online
Red Scare Soda Tab Collection
Throughout the entire fall season we encourage you a to take part in our Soda Tab Collection. As you may be aware the Ronald McDonald House, a non-profit organization that provides services for families with critically ill and/or hospitalized children, collects these tabs and exchanges them for cash to fund their organization.

Red Scare encourages each of you to start your own collection of these soda tabs. Throughout the year, we will host collection contests with some awesome prizes for winners, including FREE Basketball Vouchers. We will donate all of the tabs on behalf of the University of Dayton.

The Red Scare Executive Board and I really feel this is a worthy cause, and hope you all get involved as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the program or how you can get more involved, please email us at Red.Scare@notes.udayton.edu

Thanks!

Double Scanning
This year Red Scare will be implementing a new aspect to the Spirit Points System. We feel that it is our duty to reward those students who, not only attend our events, but also stick around for a majority of the game. For this reason, we will now be scanning TWICE at each of our fall season sporting events--once at the start of the game, and then again at the end. We recognize that some students scan in at our events only to leave moments later. This new component to the system is intended to minimize this behavior. Additionally, this “double scanning” method is designed to reward our most loyal fans for their dedication to Flyer athletics.

Double scanning is one of many reward-based innovations Red Scare will be developing over the next few months. It is certainly an exciting time to be a part of our organization and UD Athletics as a whole. If you have any questions I strongly encourage you to attend our annual Red Out Rally on Friday, August 27th from 5:30-7 pm in Collins Gym where there will be plenty of further information available and representatives to answer your questions.

Introducing the 2010-2011 President of Red Scare!
It is my privilege to introduce Jon Colbert as the 2010-2011 President of Red Scare. Jon has been a two year member of the Executive Board, serving as the Executive Assistant this past year and as the First-Year Apprentice the year before. During these two years, he has shown that he meets and exceeds the levels of professionalism, dedication, and leadership required to excel in this position and help advance the organization to new heights. I am confident that Red Scare has a very bright future with Jon at the helm, and I wish him luck as he transitions into this new role.

As my term as President comes to an end, I wish to thank each and every member of Red Scare that has helped to make this organization successful. Through my four years as a member of the Executive Board, the organization has truly become stronger and more influential each year, and I am very proud of what each Executive Board has accomplished during that time. It has truly been a pleasure to simply be a part of such an outstanding organization, and I have been humbled to have the opportunity to lead it. I wish it, and all of you, nothing but the best in the future, and I look forward to returning to once again witness the exceptional level of enthusiasm and dedication that each member holds for UD Athletics.

Once again, thank you for four unforgettable and unbelievable years, and, as always, GO FLYERS!
